R&S have just recently introduced energy saving measures such as ultra-efficient factory lighting and replacing conventional chiller plant with a free-chilling system aimed at greatly reducing the company's carbon footprint. This in addition to the recent installation of the nitrogen-generating plant for the laser cutting machines demonstates that this is a business determined to make headway in a fiercely competitive marketplace.

The company has continued to invest in new machinery including an Amada EML3610 punch/laser combination machine with MP300 automation, an Amada F3015 4kW laser and most recently, an Amada LC4020 F1 4kW linear drive laser. Both machines feature an Amada ASLUL automation tower, allowing unmanned running for extended periods thanks to a 40 tonne handling and storage capacity.
